How do I control the penetration depth, and make sure I don’t penetrate into the fibromuscular layer?
ANSWER: As evaluated in preclinical study, it has been shown that the depth of penetration is controlled by the energy settings. The average penetration depth (ablation and coagulation), at various energy levels – 7.5-12.5mJ, varies from 200-500 µm. These parameters meet the literature data to limit the penetration depth to up to 600µm. This depth is supposed to be effective in terms of vaginal remodeling process, keeping the lamina muscularis below the lamina propria layer unaffected.
